Ever wondered how much your website is really worth? Well here are five fun tools that attempts to figure that out :
Glurk : Glurk bases your valuation on factors such as value of the domain name, Google Page Rank, Alexa Traffic Rank, Number of Incoming Links, Monthly Uniques, Monthly Pages, Years in Existence, Monthly Income etc. However, unlike most other tools in this list it doesn’t automatically pull in this data. You have to enter all the data yourself.
Sootle Website Worth : This is a rather simple tool. Just enter your website’s url and Sootle will give you an estimated value for your website. The result is merely based on the number of backlinks returned by Yahoo!.
dnScoop : dnScoop uses a number of parameters like Alexa Traffic Rank, Yahoo! backlinks, Google Page Rank and domain age to guess the value of a website. It even suggests a link value for services such as Text Link Ads.
Cubestat : Cubestat is probably the most comprehensive when it comes to analysing your website’s traffic. It makes uses of traffic data provided by Alexa, Compete and Quantcast. It also takes into account other factors like Google Page Rank and Number of Backlinks. It returns the estimated worth of the website as well as daily pageviews.
WebsiteValued : WebsiteValued uses Compete’s metrics for judging your website’s popularity. Unlike other services you have the option to enter Advertising Revenue, Sales Revenue, number of Active Subscribers and Operating Costs to help WebsiteValued make a better estimate. Unlike other services WebsiteValued doesn’t offer an exact value. Instead it returns an Upper Estimate and a Lower Estimate.
Valuation of a website is a fairly complex thing and can’t be done accurately by any automated script. Hence, do take the valuations provided by these tools with a grain of salt. If you serious about appraising a website check out this article.
Most of the time I use DnScoop..
… i use websitefact.com 🙂
thanks for the links
i really did not like Glurk
Ya, that is what they are. Fun tools. Can we at all refer to these valuations if we want to sell our site?
Not really. The valuations offered by different services vary wildly. The worth of a website is determined by a large number of aspects. Automated tools can’t properly evaluate the worth of the content and the niche.
i use cubestat also. even though it gives a lower value than most , i feel the number is more realistic.
Hi! I’ve found another site valuation tool and it seems to provide competitive analysis for free. I’m talking about http://www.estimix.com .The estimation provided by estimix is the result of a complex analysis based on factors like: the age of the website, the demographic structure of the traffic, the countries where the website is popular and sources of the traffic.
http://www.peekstats.com has a great tool for this
Hi Guys, there is another website worth valuator out there called Web Worth – Web Worth can estimate a web sites worth or value, daily ads revenue, daily page views, back links and directory listing – http://www.webworth.info/ looks like the figures are from traffic stats.
http://www.webworth.info is also a great tool for this
Thanks for the valuable info, when valuating a website you should also consider http://www.websitevaluebot.com as it will give you a value based on every aspect of the fundamentals of a website except for revenue which is the only real way to work out a websites value.
Monthly revenue times 6-12 depending on brand name, age and content is the true website market value which is why no website estimator online is accurate.
http://www.mustat.com/ is a cool tool to calculate how much a website is worth (more realistic imho).
some site said my blog worth 1000, some said $200,why?
That is because all of these sites basically try and make an educated guess.
You can also try http://www.worthmy.com , It uses a different algorithm for calculate website value, obviously just for reference, a professional evaluation is always recommended.
And what about http://checkwebsiteworth.com guy’s?.. That’s a hell of a good site!
Thanks guys, i think they are just estimates.. they got different results.
cool website but I like http://www.statshow.com more :), it displays visitors, it has a winners and losers section and some useful seo tools.
i find it a very complete estimator but somewhat as you said just like any statistics no estimator will ever be 100% accurate, unless they own the website log of course, but they get very close a lot of times and offer some nice services for webmasters too.
Thanks for sharing.
My Web Site Worth…
Pretty neat what some of these results are showing, though I was abit annoyed by Glurk.
