You have heard about tinyurl.com, you have heard about tinypic.com, and now we have tinysong.com. At its core, TinySong is somewhat similar to TinyPic. It provides a quick and easy way to share songs with your friends over Twitter, Facebook, email and so on. However, there is one critical difference.
TinySong doesn’t allow you to upload your own audio file. Instead, you are restricted to the songs already available in its database. It uses GrooveShark as its backend. Thanks to Grooveshark’s vast library, this limitation isn’t likely to be a limitation for most people. Almost all the popular songs are present in TinySong’s database. All you have to do is type a song name and TinySong would throw up a short URL to listen to that song in GrooveShark. You also have the option to instantly share a song on Twitter, Facebook, StumbleUpon etc.
TinySong’s simplicity is its biggest asset. It’s just one of those services, which everyone should know about, as it’s bound to come in handy at some point.
really?
I need to try.

I kind of get freaked out using anything about GrooveShark though since isn’t it just playing other pirated music out there? I’m sure I’m just over paranoid. Have you checked out this site though http://www.thesixtyone.com/. I think everyone on there is legal, and there’s some good stuff worth exploring. And I believe they make it easy to send tracks to friends. Anyways, you might have some fun on there, if you are looking for new music.
I have heard about the TheSixtyOne before, but I have never personally used it. As far as GrooveShark is concerned, I believe it is legitimate.
That’s awesome, just tried out the service myself a put a rare band on the search bar to see if it could play it, and it did have the band! Now the only missing feature is to be able to download, But I guess streaming the music will work for now 😉 I see this really catching on much similar in the way that Pandora did.
Till then,
Jean
Right i have heard about Tinyurl and Tinypic but about Tinysong first time stumbled. This is really great way to share song in the tiny form but limited to its own database seems to some extent like a drawback. If it could be open then i think it could be more popular. BTW i liked this and going for it. Thanks for the amazing share.
