Opera Mobile 10 beta for Nokia and Other Symbian/S60 Smartphones Released
Good news for Symbian/S60 users. Earlier today, Opera Software released Opera Mobile 10 beta for Symbian series 60 handsets. The new release features the sleek skin introduced in Opera Mini 5 and is optimised for both phones with and without touchscreens. The new release retains the look and feel of Opera Mini 5 and builds on it. This is of course a good thing, since Opera Mini’s new interface is elegant and intuitive.

Orkut Redesigned – Faster and More Efficient [Invites Inside]
As you may have already heard, Orkut has received a major update. Google has re-built Orkut utilising the Google Web Toolkit (GWT) – which was also utilised to develop Wave. However, in keeping with Google tradition, the redesigned Orkut is currently available to only a select few users.

TuneUp Utilities 2010 Launched – Adds Windows 7 Support

Last year, while reviewing TuneUp Utilities 2009, I had proclaimed that it is the only system optimiser you will ever need. I was thrilled with the large collection utilities offered by TuneUp. It could perform the task of a couple of dozen utilities, alone. TuneUp unveiled the successor to TuneUp Utilities 2009 yesterday. The major new features in this edition are:

Kikin Enriches Your Search Results by Leveraging the Social Web
The explosive growth of social media and real time web has compelled both Google and Bing to take notice. Bing’s decision engine will be utilising Twitter (already in action) and Facebook while Google will be using Twitter to provide real time results. Both of them already use YouTube videos and Google started utilising audio streams provided by partners like Lala and iLike yesterday. Web searches are also set to become a lot more personal. Google Social Search just marks the beginning. In fact it won’t be an exaggeration to state that internet search as a whole is undergoing drastic changes.
While the major search engines are busy figuring out the best way to tap into the social web, a new start-up called Kikin has come up with their own solution. Kikin is a browser extension which integrates relevant results from Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo, eBay, Amazon and clipfish into your search results. Kikin is available for Internet Explorer and Firefox on Windows and Safari and Firefox on Mac. It works with Google, Bing and Yahoo search.

Opera Bytes v9: Opera 10.01 And More
In spite of the absence of any major releases, this has been quite an eventful month for Opera Software. As always, I will try to cover all the recent Opera related news and events in this edition of Opera Bytes.
Earlier today, Opera Software released the first update since Opera 10, which was released almost two months ago. Opera 10.01 is a minor update which fixes three security issues along with numerous bugs. It is recommended that you update your Opera installation since one of the patched security vulnerabilities is extremely severe and could allow execution of arbitrary code. The full changelog is available here.

Google Wave Invites For Ten Lucky Readers
Opinions about wave may vary, but there is no denying the fact that people are eager to try it. Google certainly knows how to hype up a product launch. Google has been dolling out invites regularly, but clearly demand is outweighing supply. Unfortunately, the scarcity is going to continue for some time as Google continues to tackles scalability issues.
Fortunately for you I received 20 Wave invites earlier today and I am going to give away ten of them on my blog. If you want to win a free Google Wave invite all you need to do is:

Install Windows 7 From Your Pen Drive With Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool
Few months back I had written a guide on installing any operating system from pen drive. Most netbooks don’t ship with an optical drive and hence USB devices are often the only option. In my previous article I provided instructions for manually formatting and preparing a USB drive for installing Windows 7. However the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool from Microsoft saves you the trouble of manually preparing the installation media by completely automating the process.
